The Kennedy Center chooses Critical Systems

Share

The Kennedy center was originally constructed in the late 1960’s as a memorial to President John F. Kennedy and has since become a national landmark symbolizing cultural excellence.  In 2019, a $250M expansion project was undertaken to provide additional facility space. The design blends evolving architecture seamlessly with natural surroundings. Native trees and perennials make up much of the vegetation, designed for rainwater runoff capture both to prevent storm flooding and to allow water reuse.

The HVAC technologies employed by Critical Systems further support the LEED Gold certification building, with the best in closed-loop geothermal systems, advanced temperature controls and radiant floor heating, and water-water energy recovery applied throughout the complex.  The result has been praised for its innovative and sustainable design and contributions to performing arts.
