Share

DC Water, unveiled in 2019, is a world-class water utility providing over 100 million gallons of drinking water daily to customers in DC and surrounding communities. The 151,300-square-foot administrative headquarters building was designed to mimic the motion of water in layout and building material, educating guests on how it provides clean water to the region while maintaining the highest commitment to environmental stewardship.

The building has received wide-ranging awards and is a national showcase for sustainable, green buildings.  Leading technologies include a heating and cooling system that captures heat from wastewater, turning residual energy into source energy for HVAC systems.  With energy recovery technologies employed by Critical Systems, DC Water is widely recognized to be one of the most energy-efficient buildings in the country.
